    What I would do to be on that river in early summer Right Now! I like the pic, it does that country justice.

    Thanks, I hear what you're saying. The morning of the picture, an early July mist had just lifted, and a great PMD hatch commenced. The water dumped into a long deep pool to the right with nice cutts along the far seam visibly taking the struggling mayflies. I was working the bottom of the pool, and had taken a time out to sit and watch my son casting to a large fish that had showed itself. Such a sweet river; great memories.

    I've fished the Joe during a Baetis hatch, and in the hole I was fishing it was catch 'em as quickly as I could get the fly in the water.

    Even when the catching isn't good, the scenery is so spectacular one doesn't even notice. It's just so nice to get out and smell the fresh air and enjoy the sights . . .
