    Charles - the lamps have flourescent bulbs in them (natural lite type - poor man's Ott lamp) so they don't get hot. It is in my basement which is always cool.


    Nick - The Chart of the Nuclides is for determing half lives, energy levels, etc. of all known isotopes of all elements. Everyone should have one.


    Seriously, I used to be a nuclear engineer of sorts and had this framed for absolutely no good reason and my wife told me to get the damn thing out of the normal part of the house and it ended up here.
