    That look says it all. Dad that is one ugly fish.
    Love the photo and not a bad sized carp that seemed to put a good bend into the rod as seen from the other photo.
    One thing I have been told to make sure of when having children fly fish with you is teach them to wear sun glasses. Kids I am told hate to wear sunglasses so this make take a little effort. Also learn to cast off to the side and you should be able to make short cast with the child in a carrier behind you is what I have been told. For practice I was told to put a tree or light pole right behind you and learn to cast without hooking or hitting the tree or light pole.

    i have never come close to hitting elia, but i also only make 10 ft casts. i mostly dap for the carp and stick to little local ponds where i don't have to cast at all. elia is probably the only one year old that could say "fly rod, fish, carp, and reel."
