Try using a razor blade to cut the deer/elk hair. It will make it ore uniform. There's your constructive criticism. In reality, that thing will catch fish as is, no problem. I hooked (not landed) my first and only Grande Ronde steelhead on a fly very similar to that. Nice job!
little Shaggy but looks like you have a decent amount of Hair stacked, I used to have that problem of not getting enough on the hook. and Where's the upper wing? did you mean to leave that off?
yea, i left the head big and left out the wing so i could mainly practice spinning the hair.....i was having a hard time getting the hair to spin all the way around on the front end, should i spin the same amounts of hair each time and trim accordingly or go less and less to sort of shape the head??
