    This was at the popular picnic spot Sprague Lake which you can drive right to. Sprague is full of brookies but they were not being cooperative and this was the only fish we caught during our visit to the lake.


    I did manage a few brookies from the creek that flows into Sprague which was fun since you could sight cast to them. They were incredibly spooky, however, so you had to keep a very low profile. One gal I talked to said she thought the brookies were off the bite due to being into the middle of the spawn.
