    well tied! just a friendly suggestion, ive tied a few like this myself, but ive switched to 30lb berkley fireline from dacron because its a bit stiffer, and if you want to take it a step further, try doubling over 25lb fluorocarbon (for durability) and tying the hook on before you start the rest of the fly for an even stiffer connection with the hook. ive found that this helps keep the fly from fouling.

    I appreciate the insight. i have a shit load of left over 25 and 30lb. backing that i use but what i prefer is fire line which i have on order. i always tie the hook on before anything else. actually i didn't want the fly to come out this full but oh well.

    Great tie Mike, Brian is right on with that Fireline as well. I personally use a lot of left over backing for MOALs.

    Looks good to me! I've got some wire that I use and need to pick up some fireline to give it a try as well.
