    Purple and Blue Marabou Skagit Minnow
    Connection: Braided Dacron
    Base: Waddington Shank 45 mm
    Feelers/tentacles: One pair badger hackles dyed blue
    Body: approximately rear 1/2 to 2/3 - tightly palmered black marabou
    approximately front 1/2 to 1/3 - tighly palmered purple marabou
    Front hackles: Turquoise schlappen and natural guinea fowl flank
    Flash: Approximately half dozen strands of pearl Flashabou, extending to tips of badger hackles
    Eyes/weight: Silver dumbbell eyes

    this fly has accounted for the majority of my winter fish over the last few years... it is hard to see in the photo, but in the water the fly has a slim teardrop shape with the hackle tips extending out of the fat part of the teardrop. The fly is guinea over blue over purple over black.
