    Be the guide...
You guys need to get a life. If it is that 'shocking' to you, you need to get out more... Not saying that fish makes my mouth drool just thinking of how great it will smoke up... or not... But get off your high horse for once...

    Seriously,

There's no high horse here, just a bit of concern for the folks that had to eat that monster. I love to eat salmon, but a spawned out chum? That is absolutely desperate (and awesome).

those lively chums are so photogenic...im not trying to bash your photo...buts its not very tastefully done... i realize people kill fish and im not against it.. I take fish home all the time and eat fish a couple times a week that i have caught... but i also eat steak but i dont post pictures of freshly slaughterd cows on the internet. The only place i see fit for this photo is on the wall inside the Darrington trading post next to all the 8lb gutted bull trout photos.

You bunch of snobby douchebags, this fish tasted great. It was either in my smoker or dead on the bank in a week.

I don't understand some things people do. Keeping a fish that dark, especially a chum is just wrong. That thing was about to spawn, if not already. Just absolutely disgusting. The belly's on the chum dont get any darker than that bud!

chum are extremely underrated as far as eating goes. i bet that fish tasted just fine, even if it wasnt smoked. I prefer fresh chum over silvers. They are listed as "akita salmon" (dog in japanese) in upscale resteraunts.

are you stupid? that fish was supposed to be dead on the bank, not taking up space in your fucking freezer. Fish aren't your personal food items, they're living things too and killing a chumdog that close to spawning is retarded. and just because a salmon dies after it spawns doesn't mean it's a "waste", you degenerate moron. That fish should have spawned, died, and replenished the ecosystem with the nutrients from it's decaying body. kill bulls and wild steelies too?

as long as its eaten does it really matter how it tasted, its not like you guys are eating it, if he likes it then who the hell cares....
