    the fish literally fought like a turbocharged bluegill. they were caught in florida (PI? i wish..soon though!) in some pond and ate ANYTHING i threw at them, this one in particular took a BARE size 4 tin plated SC15 that i had left over from some shock'n awes. the three day total caught must have been over 100. i know i can be intrigued by the simple things, but what can i say? i was presented with "a target rich environment"

    Ain't it funny how things change. When I was a kid in the 70's I used to have those things in tank all the tropical fish stores had em. I could not believe it when I saw them advertised as food. It will take me awhile to think about that !!!

    Experienced Ne'r do well and Layabout.
    Someone thought planting them in Hawaii would be a good idea. So far they have crowded out the impoundment where they were introduced and have even invaded the salt water. Who knows how far they will expand. They are the piscatorial equivalent of cockroaches.
