Hook: size 18 curved hook
Thread: Black 6/0
Body: Stripped Peacock Herl
Thorax: Black Superfine Dry Dubbing
Shellback/Wing: Elk Hair (tie in tips toward back, fold over thorax and tie down/whip finish with tips forward).
I've had good luck with this pattern at Nunally in the past. Deer Hair also works well as a wing. It floats better, but it flares more (which I just don't like aesthetically).
It's similar to a pattern that was discussed on the site months or years ago, but I don't recall who tied it or what it was called.
