I had lake trout in Quebec, and it was by far the best fish I have ever eaten. I'm talking way better than salmon, halibut, dorado, everything. Maybe it was that our guide was a real good cook. He did mention that lakers that far north taste a lot better than they do farther south like in Minnesota or southern Canada. I don't know whether that is true or not. They are great fish, it's just too bad that they are a nuisance in some places. I would love to catch and eat a whole bunch from Yellowstone Lake where they are really messing with the yellowstone cutts.
