didn't purchase. tied. at full speed I can tie a seahabit from bare hook to ready for epoxy in 5 mins. Monday night football gives me 18 seahabits.

Phil, I'd love to watch how you speed-tie seahbits sometime. I love 'em, but they take me forever . . .

It's not fun. It takes full production approach. body without cheeks x 6. Cheeks without silver flash x 6. Topping x 6. Silver cheek flash and mylar head x 6. The biggest secret is the bucktail. You need good stuff, and you need to only harvest the prime section. Can't waste time "choosing" sections to cut. The top 3rd of a great bucktail only. on a GREAT tail I can often use lower down stuff for the cheeks. Save the rest for other uses. I get about 6 seahabits a tail. I also am lucky if looking through 4 tails in a shop I find one worth buying... Back in the day I would buy 100 wholesale, keep about a third of them, and sell the rest.

Phil, forgot to ask; what do you do with the balance of the bucktail, to the extent you might only use the top 1/3 of the tail and only get 6 sea habits per tail?
