yes richard it did put a whuppin' on me. I was fishing out on a flat (a huge riffle) where the flesh piles up and I saw a little bucket up next to the bank. I thought there might be trout lying in the depression so I cast back to shore (about 60 feet from me), I made my mend and let my fly drop and start to swing. My line came tight and next thing I new I had to chase the fish about 100 yards down stream because the current was pretty swift and the the water was relatively shallow (2-3 feet). Fortunately my fishing buddy saw me going for the "walk of shame" and new I had a good fish on (I fish 15lb test so a lot of times I'll try to land the fish out in the main channel so I don't have to walk back into shore and loose track of the pod).
