    Thanks guys.
    Jergens, I like the reel, especially for the price... it does have a tendency to be a bit sticky when it starts up but hasn't cost me any fish yet so I ain't mad. I'll let ya know when it happens.

    I'm trying man, the fish just arent agreeing with me. I've not spent alot of time on productive steelhead water this fall, but I have managed to loose all 5 fish I've hooked. I'll survive, plus there will be big chrome bright winter steelhead swimming into my local rivers any day now...and then it's really on.


    Also, how do you tie that Pick 'Yer Pocket fly. it looks sweet. I know it involves purple dubbing and a bunch of hackle for feelers but I can't figure out what the body is.

    will, i just use purple SLF dubbing for the body. the original pattern has some big hackle wrapped at the back and front, i just use webby spey hackle. there are also hair gills (similar to an exaspirator sculipn) but i rarely tie those in. i thing the biggest thing is just using a bunch of grizzly hackles.
