bhudda, thanks for the compliments on the images. Most of the images were taken with a film(slides) SLR, about 2 years ago I switched to a digital SLR. I loved shooting slides, you can make files 56 megs or bigger with 35mm slides that are super sharp. But slide film can be very sensitive, you really can't have an exposure variance of more than about two stops or you get areas of over/under exposure that are too much to compensate for in photoshop. The digital camera seems a little more forgiving, basically if there is too much exposure variance between the sky and the subject, I remove the entire sky form the frame. If the sky is relatively the same exposure(3 stops) as the subject, shoot the correct exposure for the clouds/sky and correct the subject exposure in photoshop.
