I got this picture of my grandfather from my mother's estate. My mom's story was this was taken in Arkansas before he was married in 1929. I told her that the problem with that story is Arkansas doesn't have steelhead. He worked apple harvests in Naches and Wenatchee after he got married before working at the Bremerton ship yards and bringing his family up. I'm guessing he caught this in the Cashmere or Naches area around 1931. He also liked trout fishing in the Dosewallips, but the background vegetation indicates a drier climate.
