Very cool. What is the recipe? I especially like the mottled spots of color in the "carapace"; that is very authentic.

Thanks for all the kind words. They're called 'Ultra Shrimp'. I got the recipe out of Bob Popovics' book called 'Pop Fleyes'. Page 60. Excellent book. He gives you a whole new approach to 'Matching the hatch', and a lot of cool tying techniques.

    Hook: Gamakatsu SS15 #6
Walking legs: white Unique Hair / few strands of root beer Krystal Flash
    Mouth parts: white Unique Hair
Eyes: heavy mono filament / guitar string w/ the ends melted into eye balls, colored black with a Sharpie
Swimming legs: dun saddle hackle palmered w/ the top trimmed and capped over with pearl green Polarflash.
Carapace: white and olive Unique Hair w/ strands of root beer Krystal Flash

Saturate the carapace Unique Hair with epoxy mixed with a pinch of pearl glitter. If you get any on the hackles, don't fret it, it's easier to clean them off after it sets up.

    Thanks Again,
    Eric

    Thanks Eric,

The glitter in the epoxy is a great touch.
