Notes: This fly is a variation of the Mathews spent caddis found at flyfisherman.com. The abdomen dubbing was a mixture of 2 Spirit River fine dubbing packages that I had laying around near my tying vise; green and golden yellow colors. The thorax dubbing was the same. Partridge feather was tip-tied, several wraps like a soft hackle. This fly will have a tendency to float any which way, if you want it to settle the normal way and sit down in the water, trim the bottom partridge feathers.
