I guess you have to be carefull not to cut the guts open when you clean them, or the meat spoils. Then I heard you cut them into smaller squares and deep fat fry them. A guy told me this recipie was golden!! If I had a frier I would give it a chance. They are pickey eaters.
yeah, soak a cedar plank in water for 10 minutes, set plank on preheated grill and set fish on plank, leave in closed grill for 10 minutes, take plank and fish out of grill, throw away fish and eat cedar plank...

It's funny how they've developed such a bad reputation as an eating fish in North America. That was the whole reason why they were initially imported here. They eat the shit out of them in Europe and Asia, where you can find them well-prepared in nice restaurants. If they were that bad to eat, there's no way they'd be served alongside Zander (a cousin of the walleye) and Wels Catfish, both of which are some of the finest freshwater fish to eat.
