    i have had good success with a fly called the twin tailed madona. If you want some good info on streamers you should check out kelly galloups book, Fishing streamers for trophy trout

    To be honest, I've NEVER caught anything with a "bright" fly. All my Steelhead were caught with medium to dark patterns. I don't know why, maybe its the rivers I fish I guess.

    Well the colors I just threw together, but I started forking the tails yesterday and it looked like it might bring on some serious movement in the water so I was curious about everyone's thoughts about doing tails like this...

    Maybe in real high flows I'd go with a bulky fly like that but that's ALOT of marabou and rabbit. Nice looking fly but I don't think you'll get much more movement out of it. Great idea though.

    that's the deception, there is only 3 plumes. 1 each of orange, yellow, and red. Just on the front half of the fly.
