    The unusual thing is that the closest water I've seen a hex in is the Columbia, maybe 5 miles away, or Lacamas Lake, which is 7 or 8 miles. Still, I have seen them high in sky at dusk in the waters I fish. May he just rode the wind in. I've lived at the same place for 20 years and this is the first one I've seen at the house.

    I've had them recently up in White Salmon. I wondered if they were from the Columbia or Northwestern Lake.

    Paul, I don't know about Northwestern. I've seen them on a number of occasions at dusk in the Columbia below Bonneville.
