    we had over 17 fish eat the fly that day, some of which completely missed the single hook version. so we upped the ante, since most of these fish will swipe at the fly as a territorial swat, which was also the response we were after.

    I've heard about this fly thru the grapevine. way dirty. how do the gill hooks attach? been missing some territorial fish myself lately. btw, i've yet to try the fortune cookie, but i'll post a monster with it hanging out the mouth soon Smile

    Rick's the mad scientist behind this one, but youre gonna want something stiff enough to keep the hooks from fouling, like wire. its amazing how many of those fish hit or snip from the side....problem solved suckas...


    let me know when you get one with the fortune cookie, hopefully you have the "right" version, the first batch MFC put out had fireline instead of wire, and sz 8 hooks instead of sz 6. i had some "good fortune" fishing them this trip too, just none of these proportions....yet... =)
