Brookie - Okanogan Co. beaver pond - 2

This is another shot of my largest brookie - about 17". It was caught at dusk on a black wooley bugger in an unnamed Okanogan County beaver pond. Though, not native and basically pests, brookies are very photogenic, especially males in spawning colors!

Why yes it is a Legend Ultra - good eye!
As a matter of fact, I bought that rod for 30 bucks from REI with a broken tip. Some lame-o returned it that way. Apparently, they were too lazy to send it back to St Croix for the unconditional warranty. So I spent another $15 to ship it and about 10 days later (and $45 total) I had a brand new $290 4pc 8.5' #5 in my arsenal!
