    sorry but definately not a winter steelhead...there aren't really any winter runs above the gorge

    There are so many fish above Richland throughout the winter. I recently talked to one of the Hatchery Bioligists on the Clearwater and they put a satallite tracker in a few steelhead. Long story short, they tracked one 37" Buck that they kicked out of the hatchery and It swam up to ringold and back to lower granite damn(107.5 miles from the Columbia) 4 times in one winter. About a 360 mile round trip. Pretty cool sh*t.


    I think that he said winter steelhead, not winter run steelhead. Hence a Steelhead that you catch in Jan.
