    Great pattern for sipping fish. The fly hangs about an inch under the surface if you grease the indicator yarn attached to the mono. I saw this idea in a fly fishing mag and though it looked pretty good. The mono is tied on before the fly is started, and you tie a bit of indicator yarn to the mono with 2 overhand knots or whatever works for you. I like it about 1-2inches above the fly, but u could do longer than that if needed.
