Caught with a Caddis on the Toutle

I used the three weight for this feisty Ling. It made several pumps before landing in my trout net. I did not think they were anadromous. (8/04)

Supporting wild steelhead, gravel to gravel.
dude, he doesnt mess around with anything heiver than 8x. I've caught a few sculpins one flies around here, but in eastern washington they dont really get over 4inches. That was has got to top half a foot, just proof that wet side rivers are as fertile, or even more so, than there eastern counterparts.

Nice linger. I've caught some 5-10lbers on the fly, but nothing that big yet. Was this in Washington?

Guys, I wish I could say I caught this fish with a fly-rod, but I cannot. After fly fishing for Sockeye Salmon near Sitka, Alaska last Summer my friend and I decided to drag the bottom for an hour with terminal tackle. After getting bored I decided to reel in as fast as I could. About half way up this fat bastardo intercepted the Hoochie. I thought I caught kelp at first, but when my line started to peel off I realized I either had a ling on or a small H-butt.
