    Hart's Skwala



    Underbody: Brown or Black foam, a tapered rectangle and hanging out the back to make the egg sack.
    Body: 7 or 8 strands of peacock herl, counterwrapped with fine gold tinsel.
    Wing: Montana Fly Company Etha-Wing Material "Mottled Web".
    Head: Deer Hair, a little smaller diameter than a pencil.
    Legs: Brown or Green Barred rubber legs.
    Post: Yellow Foam.

    Wow, great fly. How did you get the deer hair bullet head so uniform. I don't tie many bullet heads, and mine tend to be no as pretty. Any tips?

    Just put in alot of hair, and really pull tight, the more tension the more uniform, and make sure to pull straight back with out twisting

    For this fly just put on a good amount of deer hair, (about the diameter of a pencil), then spin it, and pull it back so that it is tight and even.
