    nymphing with corey

    nymphing with corey

corey catches lots of fish, not because he's nymphing, but because he knows how to nymph.
(bonus points if you know what nirvana song is based on this bluegrass standard "in the pines")

Supporting wild steelhead, gravel to gravel.
Good stuff, love the jump and burning line. It makes me wish I had chance to fish some water that held a few fish. Thanx.

    Loved it!

I have been fortunate enough to fish with and learn a lot from Corey. His casting is incredible! He's the "nymph master" in my book! Well, he's also the streamer master, salt water master, and one hell of a good guy! Damn guy just can downright fly fish!

I liked the song, tied in well with the cabin at the beginning. I got it! I look forward to seeing more videos. Keep up the great work!

doesn't live in WA anymore :(
Is the song based on Nirvana's "Lake Of Fire"? I knew that song was familiar. Cool video.

bonus points allocated to Andy for "Where Did You Sleep."

"In the pines" is an old-time Appalachian song that dates back to the 1800s.
In the bluegrass world it was popularized by Bill Monroe. The version in my mini-movie is Doc Watson with banjo played clawhammer style.

east-fork, footage is from the queets.

The new SMOG album has a sweet version of In the Pines, too.

    Great casting.
