how about a recipe this pattern looks interesting. Do you tye it in other colors?

The pattern is one of the simpelest to tie.(1)Start thread and wind a base to bend,(2)add fifteen wraps of 0.20 lead wire or twelve of 0.25 lead substitute wire and cover with winding thread, keep the wire about an eye width back from eye(the swap flies have lead substitute wire), (3)select a marabou feather and stroke back after slightly wetting it, (4)cut off quill end and excess fluff leaving enough length to wrap up shank after tying in at bend (you will have to experiment until you get it right, it is also better to have the body of this leech slimmer rather than fat), (5)measure for tail and tie off at bend with about shank length of tail and return thread to head, (6)twist feather and begin to wind up shank, as you come to the lead relax the twist and let the fibers spread a little to cover the lead, (7)re twist a little at head and tie off. If the body is too fat you can trim a little or just use less fibers. The picture looks much too yellow. This one is tied with olive brown, sculpin olive also works good at The Ford. I also tie them in black and various other colors but the olive ones are what I fish the most. These are size ten, I have tied it in sizes from 6 to sixteen. For smaller patterns or a sparser look just strip the fibers from part of the side of a marabou feather.
