actually guys this photo was taken on April 12th of this year. and we were shown this spot by a well respested guide in Missoula. WE WHERE NOT FISHING OVER SPAWNING FISH! Gots say.....I'm don't make accusations without knowledge.

It is a nice pic -- but bouncing beads means that something was spawning -- in the spring more than likely the native cutties which are being pushed to near nonexistence through hybridization with rainbows. Of course we all know the story about the brownies beating up the bulls too... Well respected Missoula guide -- didn't know there was such a thing... joking of course. Missoula boys will do anything to keep the paying Seattletonians happy. Even if it was the fall, feel free to pull all the German or Irish born trout off their redds if it means a couple more native fish will get through. QHays, bouncing beads doesn't mean something was spawning; fish will often take egg patterns throughout the year. A friend of mine fishes egg patterns on lakes, sight fishing to moving fish, and does very well.
