    Damsel nymph side view

My favorite damsel nymph imitation. I tie them using a few marrabou colors: Brown, olive/brown, and dark olive.

    -tied in sizes 10 and 12, 3XL
-tie in mono eyes behind the eye. then wind thread towards the bend of the hook.
-Tie in marrabou tail the length of the hook shank.
-tie in copper wire for ribbing.
-wind marrabou forward and tie off about 2/3 down the shank, don't clip off excess yet.
    -counterwind ribbing and tie off.
-tie in 6-8 strands of pheasant tail fibers for the wing casing.
-wind marrabou 1 to 2 more times and tie off behind the eyes, cut excess.
-for the legs tie in 3-4 strands of pheasant tail fibers at a 45 degree angle, just behind the eyes.
-pull wing casing over the thorax and tie off in front of the eyes.
