    Steelhead are still being caught on the Deschutes



    The fish on the other end of the line was the biggest steelhead I've ever hooked. We estimated it at 15lb, after the one time it came out of the water. Though, I'll never really know.

    I hate that and love it at the same time. I lossed a fish earlier in the year at my feet after a nice long battle. Great fish and memory though. Great job!

    How close to the mouth are you considering "lower Deschutes" are there still fish milling around in the mouth?

    This photo was taken well up river. There are some fish near the mouth of the D. The fish that in there are the big B-Run fish heading to Idaho.
