    oh, and are you bleeding those fish right when you catch them? The bottom looks like it, but the top too it's hard to tell. Rip out a few gills with your hand or stick a knive in one side and out the other and cut down, severing the jugular. Blood will spray and pump out, and the meat will be much more edible.

    Yep, those fish were bled out immediately. We grilled one last night; it was tasty. The tape measure was in my Jeep and I just did this photo mostly for my brother with whom I have a minor fish-size contest going.
