    It was hooked not far inside the entrance to the straits, right in the first rip. It just clobbered a shock and awe, and gave up a pretty amazing display of acrobatics.
    I couldn't figure out what it was until I got it close to the boat, nothing else out there really fights like this one did, and I for sure wasn't thinking steelhead at first.
    Oh, and she was released very gently, we need more of those genes swimming around.

    You think thats crazy, check out www.bloodydecks.com there is a thread on there about a guy who caught a hatchery clipped steel 55 miles offshore of Westport, trolling an 8" tuna lure at 8 freakin knots!
