    You can use either corkies or beads. The hook is looped on and can be replaced. Same with the beads. I've swung it with the faceted beads in faster water and floating beads in slower water. The heavier beads tend to drop the hook into snags in slower water, so if you change it to the corkie, the hook stays out of the snags, and I haven't really noticed a big change in the swing.
