This portable tying station was hand-crafted from teak wood. The inner drawers are constructed of aromatic cedar to keep little critters from damaging any materials stored inside. All sections are held together with dove tail joints and carpenters glue - no nails or screws. There are various magnetic inlays in the frame that can be used for temporary holding of both hooks and tools while tying. The metal hinges and handles are polished brass. To close the station, the doors swing inward and the working base folds up from the front - which is secured shut with more magnetic inlays. My father, Tim Hall, made this as a gift for me a few years back. The station is a gem to look at, but undoubtedly for me, the sentimental value greatly exceeds the asthetics.
