    Very nice tie. Do you have a dubbed underbody in the abdomen or is the tubing that thick??

    Underbody is:
    1.floss
    2. wire cut to length and tied along body to get that flat cross section


    Strip of inner tube is then wound tightly on the leading edge, but loosely on the trailing edge to get a nice segmented look.


    There are inner tubes that are thick enough to wind on without any under body, but I prefer working with the thin racing tire tubes.

    Thanks Brad. I use the same trick on stoneflies, tying lead parallel to the hook shank to flatten the perspective.
