Crystal Flash Pupa

Crystal Flash Pupa

Tied by Jesse Clark
Clarity of this pic is good, but I think better justice to the fly would be dealt if it were tilted away a little to expose the profile and the body materials. This is an interesting fly. I'd like to learn more about it.
Hook 10-12 caddis curved
Body Black crystal flash
Hackle Partridge soft hackle longer than hook length
Thorax dubbed black nymph mix dubbing
Gold bead one size larger than recommended.
I use this pupa various ways on a floating line around the weed beds so it is in the upper part of the water column or with a full sink line fished slooow and deep.
