AK's Floating Nymph

This is an emerger pattern that I decided to tie that has been productive for me here in AZ.

Thread: Black

Tail: deer or elk hair

rib: thread or fine wire

abdomen: superfine dubbing

thorax: deer hair doubled over itself, then dubbed with hair's ear

wing case: turkey

The deer hair extends the length of the hook and then is doubled over at the thorax to help the nymph float. It's almost like a floating hair's ear the way I've tied it up.
