Two piece damsel nymph

Hook: Daiichi #2581 or any short shanked straight eye hook
Back extension clipped light wire straight eye hook, wire, commercial shank connected with 10# mono
Tail: Tan or olive marabou
Abdomen: Tan or olive ostrich wrapped with thread
thorax: tan or olive pheasant philoflume
Legs: patridge fibers natural or olive
Wing case: turkey coated with insect green UV resin or clear UV for tan fly
Eyes: Burnt mono colored black

I have experimented quite a bit with damsel nymphs this year and have sort of settled on this one as wiggly but not overly complex or expensive to tie. Works just fine as well.

The wing is a different shade from most of the Rapidan variations I’ve tied but it’s all I currently have at hand, and shows up well on the water.
