Bluegills VS. Vintage McFarland 3 wt. "Pics Added"

#1
Took my McFarland Vintage 3 Wt. out for some spawning bluegills, was using some J&M poppers, and bumblebees.. The second day switched to a Elk Hair Caddis is size 16.. The bluegills in this pond are some of the biggest I've encountered, also caught some green sunfish in their spawning colors, and of course some aggressive largemouth bass, that hit everything that floats.. Really hope you enjoy the pics..

I wanna fish with you, Rod.
Those little piggies look fat. BGs are such fun on light tackle.
Thank for posting. Now I am going to have to hitch up the
boat and go find some lake with lots of little guys in it.

Just Great! Now you started my day off correctly. I will be thinking of those little gills all day while I do other more mundane stuff. Bet they would put a right smart bend in that 2/3 wt rod I got. :)

Thanks for sharing.
