Just spent a week fishing the saraconie mark v 3 1/2 inch reel on King Salmon in upstate NY. The reel worked flawless with the drag and clicker. My buddies said it needs a muffler. The click is very loud but pleasing. LOL. Hooked over 25 kings in 5 days. Landed about 8. My buddy caught a beautiful 13 pound brown trout with the reel. I used a 9 foot 9 weight hardy pro axes fly rod on the king salmon. Joe who builds these reels is a super guy.
Sorry my computer blew up
I tried to post these pictures with my phone. Sorry for the up side down pictures. Guess you have to turn your computer around
Lol
There is so many salmon and browns in the water some get fouled hooked by accident. Many of the lines break with the hook still in the fish. Snagging in Ny is illegal.
i have a 'Lefty Kreh' black out model and it is also a really smooth reel, nothing like cork drags. my biggest complaint is how complex the entire mechanism is, take a look at an Able and compare.
Simple, they aren't. They are no different than any rainbow trout that lives in a lake and spawns in a creek/stream/river that flows into or out of a lake.
