Nice! Pedersoli produces some accurate rifles. Being a southpaw, I fired a right-handed flinter one time - it was an "eye-closing" experience, lol. Since leftie flinters were few & far-between back in those days, I opted for percussion rifles during that stage, but there certainly is a mystique about using a flinter. Enjoy!

Yeah I found some real black powder, I use 3f for my main charge and 4f in the pan, it's an absolute blast to shoot I even enjoy the miniscule delay between the pan and main charge going off

Nice looking gun. Always have a piece of wire with you to clean out the touch hole. Mark your ram rod even with the muzzle when you have a properly tamped load, powder and ball. Easy way to tell if you've over or under charged.

I was an apprentice for a fantastic gun maker in North Carolina back in the early 70's. We made everything for the guns in house including barrels, locks, etc. Each gun was fitted to the owner. Also made our own Bowie knives and tomahawks. We did mostly flint, some percussion, but not many. Rifles and pistols. Very wealthy customers bought a matched set of two pistols and a rifle.

My rifle I picked up for early muzzleloader deer and elk, my first ever flinter. It's a little bit of a learning curve. But its a really fun gun to shoot and looking forward to hopefully filling some big game tags with it!
