Made my first North Sound Cutty trip of the year. No fish but got some casting practice. I think I saw a Cutthroat surface around 75 feet from shore. One thing I notice in comparison to last year is that there was not a single juvenile salmon to be seen. Last year you couldn't keep them off your hooks this time of year
I had an interesting beach hike after salmon fishing this morning.
Along the way I saw sand bluffs with striking natural patterns formed during the ice age melting periods.
Later, I came to the end of the bluffs to an open area I'll call the Necro Swamps. I suspect that around high tides fishing in this lagoon can be dynamite.
Next time I'll make the journey from another direction.

Lucky that my eyes are better than my cellphone's ability to capture today's amazing moon rise. Hope we get another great view of the harvest moon for tomorrow's equinox, however tomorrow's forecast for Puget Sound is mostly cloudy which is totally fine for coho harvest...
