This is one of a dozen I made of heavy wire(.050") and the first time I was able to use jig that formed each one like the next. Only one broke out of the thirteen made while testing, all other have tested well past 30lbs. The eye, shank and bend are a good spring temper and the spear is about a RW45 so it can be sharpen easier but still hold a good point.

What style and size blind eyes will you be striving for?
Could one of you guys please post a few photos of them when they are finished?

Thanks in advance

Here is a pic of my first Chemical Sharpened point. . . .it took about 3 minutes to do and it is needle sharp. . .ahhhhahhahahhh. . . Mass production is soon to come. . . . The process is so easy I now know why hook companies choose chemical sharpening over grinding process. . .time and money. . . while figuring this out I also think I have figured out plating so I am going to nickel a hook next. . . . :D :D :D :D

Well, I am actually posting just to keep this active.

Jeremy is putting his heart and soul ( and more) into becoming a "hookmaker" and I really support him in this endeavor. He has faced many obstacles as far as information from other hookmakers ( surprise surprise).
Far from known by most I am sure, the process is really quite laborsome and interesting.

Lord ( or whomever) knows we could use a " choice" . The hooks he has made for me have been exceptional. I truly enjoy tying on them.

Keep at it Jeremy !

I have a sample of his hooks. Great stuff. Going to tie on a couple. But think I'm going to keep some untied on the side so I can say "I have some of his first hooks". ;)
