So the inventory was vast and after two days of guys literally walking away with boxes of materials, there was still way too much stuff to lot out, so the family has decided to do the same next weekend. Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM-3:00 PM See bottom thread link for address.

Trust me, there is still plenty of inventory. Likely 20,000 hooks still, quality dry fly capes, hen hackles, threads, enough marabou to stuff a couple dozen pillows, hides of many different animals, including elk, deer, monkey (no shit, monkey), badger, mink, muskrat, furnace hackles, guinea hackles, pheasant, some flash left over, some beads left, yarn, yarn, yarn, yarn, yarn, chenille, chenille, and other tying stuff.

There is also some traditional gear, side planners, hooks, spinners, spoons, pencil lead, about any soft plastic that you could possibly imagine, no really, you name it and it is likely there, corkies, corkies, beads, bass lures, and some others. Please if you know any other people who would benefit on the gear side, let them know!

There is also three vices for sale. Two Nor-Vices and one Regal. Also one 10' Lamiglass 4/5 wt fly rod.

So here is the deal. For those of you who can not make it, I will now shop for you, and if needed ship it out for you for a price if you are really interested. The Regal at the garage sale will be $150 if you want me to ship it, it will be $175. The Nor Vices are $275 at the garage sale $290 if you want me to ship. Quality dry fly hackles are $30-$50 for full capes, $25 for half capes at the garage sale. $6 for most hen hackles. $1 for threads, $1 for a bundle of marabout, $1 for hunks of most hides, $1 for a pack of dubbing, $0.05 a hook, regardless of the hook, $1 per two packages of soft plastics, about $0.25 per spoon, $1 per spinner, $1-$2 per bass lure (spinner baits, rapalas). $100 for the rod.

PM me for other details and I'll do my best to contact you. NO GUARANTEE of any materials being left.

If you want to see some of the pictures, please check this thread.http://www.washingtonflyfishing.com/forum/threads/fly-tying-plus-west-seattle-garage-sale-sat-sun-sept-9-10-update-w-photos.133507/

Life's good!
FWIW, I went Sunday morning. I was overwhelmed...... Others here, who went, I'm sure would agree.
So, if you tie, go. I'm confident you'll be glad you did.

I was impressed with the amount of salt water fly tying materials: hooks, bags (big bags) of marabou, necks. And books...........sheesh............ I dropped a bunch of $$ and did not make a dent in the three rooms full of tying materials.

I've never seen so many, and such a variety of bird skins/necks in my life. When's the last time you saw gamble quail, Kingfisher, and blue grouse in the same bin? You really have to see it to believe it. So, GO!

And, hats off to Ira for helping the sellers the way he is. Very, very admirable.

I forgot to mention the books. A bunch more were pulled out on Sunday that were hidden in a cupboard, we are talking Gary LaFontaine First Editions and a Trey Combs First Edition Stellhead book. Good stuff.

Who wants a caribou hide? Oh and the rabbit, my god the rabbit hides.

So the books are for sale? I thought someone said the books had been taken off the sale when I was there Saturday. I will definitely be back. :)

Someone might have mentioned, that some of them are not Garage Sale priced "for sale", because of the cost. Some collector is likely willing to pay some money for a couple of those books.

Very cool news! I'll try and swing by on Saturday. Though I'm completely new to fly tying, I'm definitely interested in checking out the sale, and learning a thing or two. I imagine there's still plenty of supplies left over for a beginner to get into.

I heard there was not much traffic today. Last chance is tomorrow guys on a literal once in a life time opportunity to pick up a ton of tying material, or bass gear for up to 75% off retail or more.

Well I made it back in time and dropped some more cash this afternoon. There was still a ton of stuff there. I now have no excuse for not tying all winter long :). Thanks again Ira.
