I realize it is early. Normally the Fall decor will stay up until week of Thanksgiving but with the foot of snow that fell over the last week, I just can't wait anymore. That stuff has been taken down, put away until next year, and now making the transition to the most wonderful time of the year!!

Exterior lights/decor won't go up until week of Thanksgiving but I will slowly inroduce interior pieces over the next several weeks. Yesterday I changed out the dining table centerpiece. I just threw together some stuff I had lying around and will probably change again early to mid December.

I also started working on the front door wreaths.

I can't wait to see 'em lit up!

Who else is getting started?

Who are you and what have you done with the Swimmy that we knew a couple years ago? Good thing I'm now living here and not reliant on fishing vicariously through your threads. ;)

Looks nice! You lost weight since Halloween:D.

I dug-out my extensive outdoor lighting inventory & gave it to my Son - does that count? I may put a light string on the miniature Fir out front; that way I can decorate a real tree, but the needles stay outside & I don't have to water it . . .

Hahaha! I still have geraniums and impatiens in bloom on my patio! But I can't wait to see more Swimmy! I love decorating for Christmas but will wait until Thanksgiving weekend! Will post photos then.

Are you working on any fun projects? How about a nice apothecary jar with some decorative filler? That could be cute.

Fuck you Swimmy I already got my tree up, and wreath on the door. BOOM On Nov 1st to boot
Pics or you are full of shit!!

Will get you a picture in a bit. As far as projects? Well yes, I am fixing a whole bunch of the knick knack shit I broke from packing last year for my wife with some bad ass glue.

You actually bring up a great point. Carefully putting away your stuff each year makes a big difference. I use standard rubbermaid totes and label each one: garland windows, garland doors, ornaments, decorative pieces, etc. Makes it much easier setting up the following year and less likely to break things.

Do you think a food saver vacuum sealer would be a good addition to your xmas storage routine?
