Jan Nemec's Pyramid Lake pattern. Simple enough to tie; change color/size to suit your needs.

hook - Tiemco 200R #10 (show purposes only/need to burn up my supply; for fishing I'd use a Dai Riki 280)
thread - MFC 8/0 rusty brown
rib - brassie wire hot orange
tail - partridge dyed rust (2 packs Koolaid orange and 2 drops black food coloring)
abdomen - marabou olive
thorax - Starburst dubbing olive
hackle - partridge dyed rust

mash barb, start thread; tie in rib, wrap to bend

measure (gap width past bend) some partridge fibers; tie in/trim

tie in some marabou fibers by the tip; wrap to 3/4 mark, tie off/trim

counterwrap rib, helicopter end, cover with thread

dub thread/dub thorax

tie in (folded) hackle by tip

wrap hackle, tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN

Regards,
Scott

Looks a lot like the pattern we affectionately-called "The Brown Hook" that we used very successfully on Lenore back in the '80s.
