Trump shrinking National Monuments on Monday

Hey, now! He's just trying to give those public lands back to the corporations. After all, they own the country anyway. 'MURICA!
Here's my thing... If you're going to take away my public lands to extract resources, at least send me a check since I should be considered a shareholder. But then, we've been brainwashed to believe socialism is a terrible word. No, that money's better off going to some rich foreign asshole. That's what's best for working class people like me.

I always find it funny that the most socialist state in the country is Alaska with their Alaska Permanent Fund checks every year from the oil companies. Probably comes from living so close to the USSR for so long. You know, Alaska USED TO BE PART OF RUSSIA. Low energy! Sad!

Go for it. It's not the threat that is political, it is the perpetrator of said threat who is. You really cannot have a legitimate discussion without stating the obvious.
I don't understand your logic. Are you saying that this thread shouldn't exist because the threat is coming from Trump? So even if something directly affects our fishing opportunities, we can't discuss it if some people feel it is "too political." That's a dangerous line of thinking.

Where do we draw the line? If a politician shuts down your favorite river, is that fair game to discuss on the board? Or is it just not ok to discuss the removal of protections on over a MILLION acres of federal land?
