NFR Music Lyrics Game....Who's In?

Jim Wallace

Smells like low tide.
Thanks, BDD. I don't recall hearing that version more than a few times, long ago. I only had one of their recordings, a double album that was soon stolen from me, presumably by anonymous "record collection riflers," who may have been acquaintances of house mates. I should have kept my collection locked up.

I'll throw one out before Better Call Saul, should be easy:

You take the skyway, high above the busy little one-way
In my stupid hat and gloves, at night I lie awake
Wonderin' if I'll sleep
Wonderin' if we'll meet out in the street
But you take the skyway
It don't move at all like a subway
It's got bums when it's cold like any other place
It's warm up inside
Sittin' down and waitin' for a ride
Beneath the skyway
Oh, then one day, I saw you walkin' down that little one-way
Where, the place I'd catch my ride most everyday
There wasn't a damn thing I could do or say
Up in the skyway
Skyway
Skyway (sky away)

3 is Pink Floyd, Don't know the others. Here are three of my favorites.

1. I wish I was in Tijuana, eating barbecued iguana.
2. I changed my hairstyle so many times now, I don't know what I look like.
3. On the sidewalk Sunday morning lies a body oozing life.

In my stupid hat and gloves,
That would be the Replacements, Skyway. great band. great show. Love that line about hat and gloves. Saul's relationship with his brother is really moving.

Great thread @Jojo !!!!
Maybe obscure at the time of release, but I wouldn't consider this one obscure now seeing how many other bands have covered it in the last 10-15 years.

Sittin' on a 747 just watching them clouds roll by
Can't tell if it's sunshine or if it's rain, rain, rain
Rather be sittin' in a deck chair high up over Kansas City
